Sandhills Community College’s Ed2Go Continuing Education Programs provide affordable, high-quality instructor-led courses online, all from the comfort of your own home.
Participants can register for the love of learning or to meet continuing education requirements. The courses provide a fun, practical and highly interactive learning forum. The emphasis is on creating warm and supportive communities for learners of all ages.
Ed2Go has a growing catalog of over 300 instructor-led online courses. Through well-designed lessons, expert online instruction, and interactions with other students, participants gain valuable knowledge at their convenience. There is the flexibility to study at your own pace combined with sufficient structure and support to complete the course. The classroom is accessible 24/7 from anywhere with a computer connected to the Internet.
New instructor-led course sessions begin each month with upcoming start dates of October 13, November 17, and December 15. They last six weeks, with two new lessons published each week for a total of 12 lessons. These are completely web-based with comprehensive lessons, quizzes, and homework. A dedicated professional instructor leads each class, paces learners, answers questions, gives feedback and facilitates discussions.
Self-paced tutorial courses are very similar to instructor-led courses, but allow participants to study independently with access to all course materials and assessments from day one instead of being split up every week. Course material is available for three months. Students work in a collaborative environment and can chat online with their classmates.
Sandhills Community College, in partnership with Ed2Go, also offers certificate programs. These longer-term online courses are open enrollment, designed to provide the skills needed to acquire professional-level positions for many in-demand occupations.
Clerkship programs are available for a real world experience. Our student advisers place students in a working environment during the final months of the course to allow for a workplace or clinical experience.
These programs are designed by a team of professionals from each respective field, delivering effective learning programs on the web. Instructors / mentors are actively involved in the online learning experience, answering any questions or concerns, as well as encouraging and motivating students to succeed.
The course categories of the advanced vocational training program are: arts and design, business, computer applications, computer science, construction and trades, health and fitness, hospitality, information technology, language, law, professional development of teachers and writing.
